## What Are VoxEdit Contests?

Voxedit Contests run regularly in the Sandbox's community. Voxel artists from all levels of experience can potentially win NFTs or SAND for creating great ASSETs using the VoxEdit software.

Submitted entries may be voted on by The Sandbox Team, and/or official partners depending on the specifics of the contest.

## Why Participate in VoxEdit Contest?

## Prizes

{% tab title="Regular Voxedit Contests" %}
The total prize pool for our regular VoxEdit contests is <mark style="color:yellow;">**8300 SAND**</mark> spread across a top 10. If stated in the medium article top 5 or top 10 will be given the option to have their assets <mark style="color:green;">**minted**</mark> and go on <mark style="color:green;">**sale**</mark> on The Sandbox Marketplace. \
\
They will need to submit to have an asset review and approved, but once approved artists can mint and sell that winning asset.&#x20;

{% tab title="Beginner VoxEdit Contest" %}
Beginner VoxEdit Contests run alongside internal regular contests. \
The prize pool for these ones is <mark style="color:yellow;">**2600 SAND**</mark> spread across a top 10. \

There are very specific requirements for being eligible for the Beginners Category see [Rules & Guidelines](/en/creator/creators-program/voxedit-contests/rules-and-guidelines.md) for more information.

{% tab title="Live VoxEdit Contests" %}
The total reward pool for the Live VoxEdit contest is <mark style="color:yellow;">**1000 SAND**</mark>, which is split between 5 winners.

Winners are announced in Discord as well as on our VoxEdit Twitter.

The contest is done over a 3 hour period where participants are given the theme and a select colour scheme at the start of the stream. They need to create an asset within those criteria's in the 3 hours.

{% tab title="VoxEdit Mini Contests" %}
VoxEdit Mini contests are a shorten formed contests than our regular contests with a prize pool of <mark style="color:yellow;">**SAND and Catalysts**</mark> which includes a participation prize for the first 100 submissions that don't place within the top 10. \
Judging criteria for VoxEdit minis don't include the Animation criteria.&#x20;

Catalyst packs are sent to the top 5 winners to mint their assets and be placed in a special marketplace collection.&#x20;

Voxel wars is a brand new contest. Where 20 contestants take part in a bracket style contest.

2nd - <mark style="color:yellow;">**2000 SAND**</mark>\
3rd - <mark style="color:yellow;">**1000 SAND**</mark>\
4th - <mark style="color:yellow;">**1000 SAND**</mark>\
5th - <mark style="color:yellow;">**500 SAND**</mark>\
Participation - <mark style="color:yellow;">**25 SAND**</mark>
