Buying

What can you buy on The Sandbox's marketplace?

The marketplace will allow you to purchase voxel ASSETs (such as buildings, decorations, NPCs, hostile enemies, etc) which can be placed on LANDs and/or collected.

You will also be able to purchase LANDs and GEMs.

Can I rent LAND from the marketplace?

This is an upcoming feature. But yes, you will be able to rent LANDs from The Sandbox's marketplace.

Do I need $SAND to purchase from The Sandbox's marketplace?

Yes, transactions performed on The Sandbox's marketplace will require $SAND, which is the currency of the platform.

Are there any fees?

There is a 5% processing fee on all $SAND transactions. This fee goes back into the Foundation, which is used to fund artists, creators and their fantastic projects.

Meta transactions within the marketplace will eliminate gas fees.

Selling

What can you sell on The Sandbox's marketplace?

You can sell ASSETs, LAND, GEMs and you will also be able to rent out LAND too.

How much are ASSETs or LANDs sold for on the marketplace?

This is up to the seller. However, they will need to be fair and competitive in order to attract a buyer. Factors such as quality of ASSETs, uniqueness of ASSETs, size of LAND, location of LAND and so on need to be taken into account in your pricing in order to attract the right buyer.

What currency can I sell things for on the marketplace?

$SAND is the currency of The Sandbox, so all sales within the marketplace will be in $SAND.

Are there any fees?

There is a small fee to upload ASSETs onto the marketplace. This is primarily to discourage the spamming of low-quality ASSETs being uploaded to the marketplace. Genuine artists who upload high quality ASSETs will make this fee back quite quickly and then go into profit.
