Equipment can transform a player's look and modify their Attributes, or stats. It can be owned by the player and used across many Experiences or provided by an Experience creator for temporary use.
Player Inventory
Your Inventory contains items you have collected in an Experience and NFTs you own (in your wallet).
Press I to open/close and access:
Equipment, Weapons, and Miscellaneous items
Avatars you own (and one free avatar you've saved)
Modifying the Inventory
Add item
Local - Interact (press E) or collide with a collectible item in an Experience
Wallet - Purchase an NFT on the Sandbox Marketplace
Remove item
Press D to drop an item you have collected
Consume item
Press C to consume an item you have collected
Note: Experience creators set which items can be consumed and what results
Some blockchain transactions may take longer depending on network traffic.
Equipment & Weapons
Equipment (including weapons) can transform your avatar's appearance and may modify gameplay.
Own Your Look, Change Your Strengths
There are six slots for equipment to be worn on your Avatar:
Left Hand - Shields
Right Hand - Weapons
Head
Arms
Chest
Legs
Apply/Remove Equipment Double click an item (it will appear in its assigned slot) or drag and drop onto or off of the correct slot.
Show/Hide Applied Equipment Click on the eye icon on slots where equipment is applied.
If you hide equipment you're wearing, the added Attributes (stats) still apply to your avatar.
Starter Equipment & Restrictions
Experience creators can set Equipment the player will wear when the game loads and restrict players from using equipment NFTs of their own. This is often done to support team gameplay or narrative, control player leveling, etc.
Equipment Effects on Player Stats
The equipment creator sets its Rarity and Attributes. The more rare it is, the greater its Attributes can be.
How Attributes affect gameplay:
Power - increases the player's hit points when attacking enemies
Defense - increases the player's health points
Speed - increases the player's walk/run speed
Attributes also affect gameplay through objects.
Example: A platform with Speed Attributes will move faster than one with none.
Equipment is only visible for medium human avatars due to fit, but stats are still applied.
Purchase Equipment
You can purchase Equipment in the Marketplace to customise your Avatar's appearance and impact gameplay through your player stats.
Misc
Miscellaneous items may include a potion or food to consume, a pass to access exclusive gameplay, etc. It can be collected in the game or owned by the player (NFT).
The Experience creator will guide players to know:
What to consume and what the effects will be
What NFTs are required in the player's wallet to access exclusive gameplay or features
Avatar
Via the Inventory screen, the player can select an Avatar.
If you change your avatar during play, the Experience and your quest progress will restart. This will be updated soon.
