4. BETA PRODUCTION
CREATE A TEASER & BEGIN TRAILER
It's time to gather media to create a teaser, which will later be turned into a full trailer.
Follow our easy tips to Create an Experience Trailer using Game Maker and recording software.
If you're an expert, you may prefer creating a trailer using motion design software. If you use third-party software instead of Game Maker, you can export assets from VoxEdit and import into the software.
Be sure that the most important art in the field of view is close to the final version and the scene has additional dressing so it doesn't feel empty.
DRAFT EXPERIENCE DETAILS
Create Your Experience Page
Create a free Experience Page with our online tool built into the Experience Manager. Use the Content Guide to know where content added to the page will appear on the published page, The Sandbox map, and in the game client where players open and play it.
Create a logo for your Experience, which will appear on the Map and in your promotional content later on. The map logo you add to the Experience Page will become visible to the public when you select the Map Location. This is the step to associate your Experience to a parcel of virtual LAND.
6. QA & MARKETING
CRAFT YOUR STORY & ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY
Actively engage with your audience and weave their insights into targeted promotion and compelling content to promote your Experience.
Update your Experience name if needed to appeal to your audience better. Define your key messages and voice for communicating with them (serious, silly, friendly, etc). Use your project notes from the Concept phase to consider your player audience thoroughly.
Make a Key Decision & Stay "On Brand"
Will your engagement strategy revolve around a central theme, such as connection, challenge, NFT utility, etc? This is an important part of the "branding" you create with your Experience.
Leverage Partnerships
Find other creators, influencers, or even brands who love your stile and work together to reach more players. Find creative ways to creatively engage with each others' communities with exciting collaborations.
EXPORT ASSETS & BEGIN RENDERS
Use our NFT Drops and Marketing documentation to choose which assets to mint and sell as NFTs with your Experience launch and what ratio of copies you'll make available for players.
Launching NFTs with your Experience can be a great way to provide greater value and fun to your players, particularly through equipment with Attribute Points to make the player more powerful, fast, or protected when wearing it.
Begin exporting and rendering:
Finalised assets you intend to mint and sell as NFTs to use later for promotion
Other assets you will not sell, but plan to use to characterise your Experience in marketing materials such as social media posts, web pages, etc. This may include using them to compose graphics with text in third-party software.
PLAN YOUR ENGAGEMENT CALENDAR
Before, During & After Launch
Spreadsheets are an excellent tool to organise your engagement plans!
Plan what you will post, when, and where. Think about behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, sharing your teaser video, live updates, launch announcements, social media contests, leaderboards, exciting news, NFT drops (if applicable), etc. Decide when you will reveal your official trailer.
Plan to spend the most effort where your players are, focusing on great communication and engagement in one or two platforms rather than mediocre engagement across more if you don't have the bandwidth.
Prepare to frequently check your Experience Analytics to find correlations between your promotional calendar with Experience and Experience Page engagement. Be flexible and modify as needed! Add the link to your Analytics page to your calendar.
CREATE VISUAL MEDIA
Your Trailer and Experience Page will be polished at this point.
Update your Logo
If you updated your Experience name in Mission 4, update your logo on your Experience Page so it appears correctly on the Map.
Create Banners
Create promotional banners with text written in your chosen voice, asset art, screenshots, etc. Optimise them for engagement and shareability. Create various formats for different uses, such as social media:
1920x1080 (YouTube)
1080x1920 (many phone apps)
1080x1080 (Instagram)
Note: Many social profile icons use this aspect ratio, if you're considering setting up an account to promote your Experience
1,500 x 500 (X/Twitter)
If your team decides to create an improved banner that you want to feature on your Experience Page, update it.
NFT Launch Materials (if applicable)
If you are minting NFTs to list on the Marketplace for players, use the file exports and renders you created in Mission 4 to create materials to promote your NFT drop when your Experience launches, ensuring it's in the correct format for the social media posts, livestreams, etc. you plan to use for engagement in your calendar.
Going Live
Once your Experience is launched and available to play, you'll want to keep driving players to it through your Player Engagement strategy using social media, challenges, etc.
