βͺBasic Platform
Moves from the placed position to a set destination using X, Y, and Z coordinates, waits for a set amount of time, and returns to the original location.

PERFORMANCE TIP In multiplayer Experiences, there are two layers of logic that will not communicate with each other: singleplayer [SP] and multiplayer [MP]. For best performance, only apply [MP] behaviours and components to objects that MUST be synchronised to all players (or communicate on that layer), and maximise use of the [SP] (Client Only) layer.
USAGE TIP This behaviour will not communicate with Quests or [SP] behaviours or components. It can be used in singleplayer Experiences.
Common Uses
Platformer games with moving obstacles and player transports
Puzzle games (using the Toggle Component to affect Behaviour)
Vehicles moving between two points for active scenery (look at destination)
Communications
There are no direct communications with Platform Behaviour, but you can control it or interact with it using other logic.
Movement
Movement in any direction using X, Y, and Z coordinates | Optional pause at destination before return to origin |
Parameters
Options | Details |
---|---|
Move Offset - set the destination of the Object in relation to its placed position using X, Y, and Z coordinates. This parameter is visualised with a blue cube Gizmo that adjusts as you change the X, Y, and Z values. | |
Platform Speed (slider) - set the speed of the Object using a slider or by entering a value. Maximum value is determined by the Speed Attribute of the Asset used to create the Object. | |
Wait Duration - the time in seconds for how long the Object will pause before resuming motion from the destination or the original position, which it will continue moving between. | |
