Game Maker 0.11 will enhance the experience for builders by introducing new game features and capabilities. It brings a dynamic library, team scoring, NPC-friendly systems, and exciting new templates, such as Survival and Idle games. These additions aim to make game creation more engaging, social, and immersive while also simplifying the process for creators.

Team Variable (Game Rules)

Track team scores, resources, times, status, and more with a new variable type!

Combination Code Behaviour

Set up alphanumeric codes for players to enter for puzzles, quizzes, etc.

Rotate Behaviour

Turn an object about its pivot point or rotate it around an offset point.

Actor Property Switcher Behaviour

Add or remove tags from targets during gameplay.

Raycast Component

More parameters for precision raycasting.

Avatar's Feature [MP] (Components in Spawn Point Behavior)

Add and customise Trigger Volume and Raycast components by spawn point.

Spawn Point Behavior [MP]

Set a custom avatar per spawn point with custom input configurations (formerly a global option in the Player menu).

HUD Rule

Two HUD styles to choose from (square or diamond).

HUD Rule

Colour coded slots to optimize visibility on different backgrounds, customise game appearance, and indicate variables other rules determine are within range to display differently.

NFT Image Component

Now compatible with WEBP format.

Movement Palettes Select a palette with custom movement sets. This update includes edge recovery in an Experimental palette and refined core movements in the default palette.

Trigger Logic More Dynamically

Objectives Objectives have been ported for MP compatibility. They now communicate with Rules in Multiplayer games. Existing games will be guided to migrate to the new system.

NFT Sensor Component

New toggle to require an NFT to be equipped to trigger the success message.

Key & Mouse Input Rules

Bind/unbind a key or mouse button and let players press F1 to see a helpful description.

Send Message Rule

Control the logic flow more precisely with broadcast targets like teams, specific tags, or objectives.

Victory Component

Trigger a victory screen without ending a game session.

Light Component

New Offset parameter reduces need for additional logic actors and increases use cases in Spawn Point behaviour as an Avatar’s Feature.

Friendly NPC Behviour

First iteration of a new behaviour allowing you to add modules for friendly NPC actions.

Copy/Paste Values

Right click to copy all of a behaviour or component’s parameters and paste it into the same behaviour or component in another object.

Block Counter

See the number of blocks currently being placed in the XYZ axes.

NFT Sensor Component

New parameters added to note the purpose of its use (does not affect logic).
