Build Menus

The Game Maker Builder Interface is the main work area you will use to create a new or existing Experience.

Interface Overview

Select an option below for an explanation of the interface in detail:

  • Hierarchy

Viewport - place, manipulate, and test interactive content in your Experience. The TAB key toggles between edit and play modes.

Top Bar - manage Game Maker settings, save your Experience, and access Experience design tools.

Side Bar - Tools to place and manipulate objects, replace assets, and create parent/child relationships between objects:

Asset Replace tool

Library & Quick Access Bar - choose elements to add to your Experience, create custom shortcut groups.

Grid System & Snap Tool - customise a visible grid and set custom increments for movement and rotation for easy placement and snapping.

Properties Panel - adjust the parameters of a selected object.
