Experience Exclusions

The following experiences are not eligible for rewards:

  1. The Sandbox-Created or IP Partner Experiences: Experiences developed by The Sandbox or brand partners, which are tagged as "Brand" or "Sandbox."

  2. Experiences in Other Events: If an experience is part of an active event other than the Builders’ Challenge, it cannot earn rewards. However, it may participate in a future Builders’ Challenge if it is no longer part of any other event.

Event Rules & Fair Play

All participants must follow The Sandbox’s event rules and anti-cheat policies to ensure a fair and enjoyable competition. Violations may result in disqualification, penalties, or bans.

✅ Allowed Engagement

  • Players must engage voluntarily and organically.

  • Creators can promote their experiences via social media, community engagement, streaming, and other similar channels.

  • Collaborations with gaming guilds are permitted, but creators are responsible for ensuring fair play.

🚫 Prohibited Activities

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Using bots, fake accounts, or idle players to boost engagement.

  • Paying third-party services to boost player numbers.

  • Exploiting gaming guilds or communities in a way that manipulates engagement unfairly.

  • Abusing bugs or exploits to artificially extend playtime or visits.

Suspicious activity is monitored continuously, and The Sandbox may request evidence of compliance. Investigation methods will not be disclosed to prevent exploitation.

Any requested information will remain private and will not be shared with third parties.

Guild & Community Collaborations

✅ Allowed Guild & Community Engagement

  • Creators may collaborate with gaming guilds, communities, or influencer networks to organically promote their experiences.

  • Guilds can host events, tournaments, or social activities that encourage real engagement.

  • Creators are encouraged to focus on building long-term player interest rather than short-term spikes in visits.

🚫 Prohibited Activities & Responsibilities

  • Creators are responsible for all engagement generated through guilds and must ensure it complies with fair play rules.

  • Using guilds to artificially increase visits, idle playtime, or repeatedly trigger engagement metrics is strictly prohibited.

  • Any signs of mass coordinated logins, repeated idle play sessions, or unnatural spikes in engagement may lead to adjustments, disqualification, or further action.

  • If a guild unknowingly generates artificial engagement on a creator’s behalf, the creator must report this immediately to avoid penalties.

Handling Cheating & Consequences

If a creator is suspected of artificial engagement or rule violations, The Sandbox follows a structured review process:

  1. Initial Review – Suspicious activity is flagged internally for investigation.

  2. Contact & Verification – If necessary, The Sandbox may request clarification or proof of legitimate engagement.

  3. Investigation & Analysis – Data is reviewed to determine whether fraudulent activity occurred.

  4. Decision & Enforcement – If violations are confirmed, the appropriate penalties will be applied.

Consequences for Violations

Violation Severity
Consequence

First Offense

☑️ Warning ☑️ Removal of fraudulent engagement

Repeated Offense

☑️ Disqualification from ongoing Builders’ Challenge ☑️ Termination of rewards

Intentional Manipulation and Large Scale Fake Engagement

☑️ Termination of rewards ☑️ Disqualification ☑️ Account suspension ☑️ Ban from future events

In most cases, a warning will be issued first, and any fraudulent engagement will be removed before further action is taken. However, in severe cases, The Sandbox may immediately disqualify or ban the creator from ongoing and future events.

Appeals & Reporting Suspicious Activity

If you suspect cheating or artificial engagement in your own or someone else’s experience, you may report it using the official Cheating & Exploit Report Form.

When reporting, please include:

  • Screenshots or video evidence of suspicious activity.

  • Any logs or engagement data that support your claim.

Appeals Process

If you believe your experience was wrongfully penalized or disqualified, you may submit an appeal through the Builders’ Challenge Appeals Form.

  • Appeals must include relevant details and any supporting evidence.

  • The Sandbox team will review appeals within seven business days.

  • All appeal decisions are final.

Final Notes

The Builders’ Challenge is meant to be a fair and rewarding opportunity for all creators. Following these rules ensures that rewards go to those who truly engage players and create great content.

We appreciate your commitment to fair play and creativity.
